Sayyed Nasrallah: Ashura Commemoration Brings Us Closer to Allah
Hezbollah Secretary General, Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah, said that the enemy of the Islamic nation is launching an all-out war against us, stressing that Ashura commemoration ceremonies are sessions where we worship God and tackle the issues of this nation.
In the first night of Muharram at Sayyed Al-Shuhadaa complex in the southern suburb of Beirut, Sayyed Nasrallah said that Islamic nation has witnessed during the last year tough conditions as tensions escalate and sectarian sedition threatens Muslims.
Responding to some Takfiris, who consider that Ashura commemoration ceremonies are sessions of polytheism, Sayyed Nasrallah stressed that theses mourning ceremonies are sessions where God is being worshipped and the issues of the nation are discussed.
“These sessions are for prayers, reciting verses of the holy Quran, fulfilling the prophets’ instructions… we consider it as sessions that bring us closer to Allah.”
Meanwhile, Hezbollah S.G. urged people to cooperate with security forces, Lebanese army and all those who guard these ceremonies.
“The security situation in our country and the regions requires us to take such measures.”
Talking about Islam, Sayyed Nasrallah called on the world not to judge our religion through the bad behavior of some people who claim they are Muslims and commit crimes, wondering: “Do we judge Christianity through the behavior of the United States?”
As he criticized the US drone attacks in Pakistan and Afghanistan, the resistance leader said: “Every year, the US air forces kill thousands of people through raids carried out by drones. However no one describes these strikes as war crimes.”
