Zarif to meet European FMs in Geneva ahead of nuclear talks
Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif is scheduled to hold talks with some of his European counterparts in Geneva on Monday on the eve of a new round of nuclear talks with the six world powers in Switzerland.
According to the media diplomacy department of the Foreign Ministry, Zarif will meet with foreign ministers of Netherlands and Russia and the UN human rights high commissioner in Geneva before he departs for Montreux, where a fresh round of nuclear talks are due to take place. Zarif is also scheduled to deliver a speech at the UN Human Rights Council on Monday.
Iran’s nuclear negotiators will accompany Zarif to Geneva and then will depart for Montreux for the nuclear negotiations. Like the previous round of talks last week, head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran Ali-Akbar Salehi is due to take part in the meeting.
