Yemen Houthi Leader: Protests Aim at Toppling Government, Not Targeting Capital
Sayyed Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi, the leader of Yemen’s Houthi group, asserted that the aim of the current protests is to topple the government, not to target the capital, Sanaa. Al-Houthi said that most of the Yemenis are dissatisfied with the fruitless performance of the government.
Al-Houthi also stressed that the Yemenis will cling to their national demands, warning the president and the defense ministers against assaulting the protestors.
