Syrian Army foils terrorists offensive in Ghouta

Hours after intense clashes on the Jobar axis, the Syrian Army managed to repel the Faylaq Al-Rahman offensive killing and injuring dozens.
Code named ‘Wala Tahino’, Faylaq’s offensive was said to span a one-kilometer front in the Damascene district. Before beginning their offensive, militants from the salafist Saudi-backed group burnt tires in the towns of Ain Tarma, Zamalka, and Erbeen in an attempt to quell air raids with little true effect.
The goal of this failed offensive was supposedly to lift the pressure off the Daraya fronts.
However, terrorists entrenched on the western fronts of the Eastern Ghouta bastion have much more to worry about: Syrian Army advances place the pro-government forces on the fringes of the last line of defense from Douma and the nearby towns.
The elite Republican Guard of the Syrian Armed Forces have already laid down their eyes on Tal Kurdi and Hawsh Al-Dawahira.
