In recent military operations against the ISIS strongholds over the oil-rich regions of eastern gas Homs, the Syrian army troops backed by the National Defence Forces have established control over the Arak strategic field near the ancient city of Palmyra in the province Homs on Monday.
Syrian government forces, backed by heavy bombardment of artillery, stormed the Takfiri terrorists’ positions east of Palmyra and took full control of Arak field.
The NDF and the Syrian army managed to reach the Arak region after purging the central third power of ISIL terrorists.
Over 25 ISIS terrorists were killed in the Syrian army operations on Monday. The Syrian army is now planning to seize back the strategic region Al-Sukhna which lies east of Arak field.
“The Syrian army and its allies have made important progress in road connecting Palmyra Al-Sukhna in the eastern parts of Palmyra and the liberation of Al-Sukhna will lead to freedom of Homs province from terrorism,” said Barazi FNA on Monday .
Over 700 families have returned to Quaryatayn and the number of families who have returned to Palmyra reached 150.
