Supreme Leader warns against enemies plots on verge of elections
IRNA – Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on Tuesday warned against plots hatched by enemies of the Islamic Iran on the threshold of the country’s next presidential elections, slated for June 14.
Ayatollah Khamenei made the remarks in a meeting with a large group of people from the holy city of Qom on the occasion of the anniversary of an uprising by the city’s people against the Pahlavi regime in 1977.
“One of the plots of the enemy is to preoccupy people’s mind by political, economic or security adventures, on the threshold of the elections,” said the Supreme Leader.
However, Ayatollah Khamenei stressed that Iranians are vigilant enough not to be deceived by enemies.
