According to the al-Masirah news channel on Tuesday, a number of people were killed and injured in the attack.

Saudi airstrikes also targeted the al-Deylami air base in the capital, Sana’a, with witnesses reporting huge explosions following the attacks.

In a separate airstrike in the day, a Yemeni military base and a government building were bombed in the southwestern province of Ibb. There was no report of casualties.

On Monday alone, Saudi airstrikes left 120 Yemenis dead.

According to local media reports, at least 70 Yemenis were killed in multiple Saudi airstrikes in the impoverished country’s western province of Amran and 50 others lost their lives after Saudi warplanes pounded a local market in the southwestern Lahij province.

In retaliation for Riyadh’s merciless airstrikes, Yemeni army backed by popular committees’ forces launched a series of rocket attacks on various military positions in Saudi Arabia’s southwestern Jizan and Najran regions.

Yemeni officials also told local media outlets that the Yemeni forces downed a Saudi spy drone conducting a surveillance mission in Sa’ada on Monday. Another Saudi surveillance drone had been brought down by the Yemeni forces in the southeastern province of Dhamar on Sunday.
