Iranian Judiciary Chief Ayatollah Sadeq Amoli Larijani highlighted the futility of enemies’ plots against the country’s Islamic Establishment over the past 40 years and said despite all hostile attempts, the Islamic Republic is “more powerful than ever before”.
Addressing a meeting with high-ranking officials of the Judiciary in Tehran on Tuesday, Ayatollah Amoli Larijani referred to the 40th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution, due to be marked next month, and said, “Thank God, the dream of putting an end to the (Islamic) Establishment, cherished by the Western countries, especially Americans and their regional stooges, since forty years ago, has been shattered and the Islamic Republic of Iran is more powerful than ever before.”
The judiciary chief emphasized that the enemy has not stopped its hostility toward Iran but has come to the battlefield with newer means and much more extensive efforts to eliminate the Islamic Republic. “Cultural invasion and making the people disappointed (with the Establishment) are two main projects of the enemy which it pursues with a variety of means,” Amoli Larijani added.
Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei has on many occasions urged vigilance in the face of enemy ploys to gain a political and cultural foothold in Iran, warning that the consequences of such infiltration would be much worse than that of enemy’s economic influence.
“Economic and security infiltration is of course dangerous and has dire consequences, but the enemy’s political and cultural infiltration (into Iran) is a much more serious threat that everyone should be vigilant about,” Ayatollah Khamenei said back in September 2015. As part of plans for cultural infiltration, the enemy has made heavy investment to gradually change the Iranian people’s beliefs, the Leader said at the time.
