Heavy losses were inflicted upon Takfiri terrorists as Hezbollah fighters repelled an infiltration attempt by the insurgents in the eastern area of al-Qaa.
Field sources told al-Manar that several ISIL (so-called Islamic State in Iraq and Levant) group were killed and injured when Hezbollah fighters foiled an infiltration attempt by the Takfiris towards al-Hamra heights in al-Qaa area early on Monday.
The sources reported that clashes took place between the resistance fighters and the insurgents, leading to heavy losses in the ranks of ISIL militants. Many other insurgents fled to Arsal barrens, according to the sources.
Syria-based terrorists have been for months trying to infiltrate into the Lebanese territories after being besieged in an area on the Lebanese-Syrian border.
These attempts are renewed now because of the hard conditions the insurgents are witnessing especially the cold weather.
