Iran’s New Envoy Submits Credentials to Chief of UN Office in Geneva
(FNA) – Iran’s new representative to the UN Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland, submitted his credentials to the director-general of the UN office.
Mohsen Naziri Asl was appointed as the country’s new envoy to the United Nations headquarters in Geneva.
He submitted his credentials to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Geneva Kassym Jomart Tokayev on Thursday.
Prior to his appointment to Geneva, Naziri Asl had been serving as the Deputy Director-General for political international affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran since 2010.
He served as charge d’affaires of the Embassy of Iran in the Netherlands from 2007 to 2010.
