Iran, Several Terrorist Attacks Foiled

Iranian intelligence officials had broken “the biggest terrorist plot” to target never Tehran and other provinces of the Islamic Republic, the country’s state television reported on Monday.
According to reports, the authorities had arrested the perpetrators of recent days, while the attacks were plotted for the holy month of Ramadan.
However, the reports did not identify those arrested, although it is unclear whether this case involves the extremist group holding the territory in Iraq and Syria.
“Wherever you may occur in Iran, any suspicious move will be promptly detected, this is due to the presence of people and organizations capable and experienced,” said the country’s Supreme National Security Council Secretary Ali Shamkhani, quoted by the broadcaster on Monday.
