Iran determined to fight against terrorism
Mehr News Agency – First Vice President Es’hagh Jahangiri strongly condemned the recent terrorist attack in Iran’s southeastern port of Chabahar, saying “terrorist acts, orchestrated by enemies of the country with the aim of dividing unity and amity among Iranian nation, is doomed to failure.” Such heinous acts will make Islamic Republic of Iran more determined to fight against terrorism, Jahangiri emphasized.
While expressing his condolences to noble people of Sistan and Baluchestan province and bereaved families of victims of this terrorist act, he called on provincial security and disciplinary officials to make their utmost efforts to identify the perpetrators behind this terrorist attack.
A terrorist suicide blast in Iran’s southeastern port of Chabahar near the Pakistani border on Thursday morning, at 9:30 AM, left at least two people dead and over 30 others injured. The explosion was caused by a car bomb going off in front of the Police Headquarters in Chabahar, Sistan and Baluchestan province.
