Int’l community has given Israeli regime permission to massacre Palestinians

Irna – The Palestinian Islamic Jihad resistance movement has condemned the recent Israeli regime’s massacre of aid-seekers in Gaza City, and criticized the international community’s silence which it described as a “permission to massacre Palestinians”.

“The occupying forces targeted hundreds of people who were waiting for flour trucks to feed their hungry children. This new aggressive crime is another proof of the criminal nature of the behavior of the occupying regime’s military”, said a statement by the Islamic Jihad, according to a Sunday IRNA report citing Palestinian Sama news agency.

The statement criticized the “so-called international community” for its silence on acts of aggression by the Zionist regime, saying that it has closed its eyes to the genocide in Gaza.

“The international community is the party that has given the occupiers the permission to kill [Palestinians], and has criminalized our people’s resistance against this continuous aggression”, the Islamic Jihad said. On Thursday, Israeli forces opened fire on unarmed Palestinians collecting aid southwest of Gaza City.

The Health Ministry in Gaza said that at least 115 people were killed and more than 750 wounded. It called on the international community to “urgently intervene” to establish a ceasefire as the only way to protect civilians, Al Jazeera reported.

The Qatar-based news network quoted witnesses as saying that they had been hit by “direct Israeli artillery shelling, drone missiles and gunshots” during the attack.
