Hizbullah issued the following statement:
Hizbullah denounces the assassination of prominent writer and journalist Nahed Hattar.
In its statement, the group pointed out that Hattar was “a great fighter against the Zionist project and a defender of the Palestinian cause and the axis of resistance which stands up to this project and triumphs for the cause.”
The statement further adds, “He truly was a brave and resounding anti-Takfiri voice in the struggle against abolition, exclusion and genocide.”
Hereafter, Hizbullah offers its deepest condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of Mr. Hattar.
The group further calls on the Jordanian authority to take up the maximum penalties on the perpetrators and those who stand behind them so as to uphold freedom of speech in the region, asserting that enemies of freedom will be punished on earth and in the afterlife.
