Hezbollah will never accept surrender, Qassem stresses

Mehr News Hezbollah Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem stressed Saturday “The resistance is not prepared to accept any framework that leads to surrender to the Israeli occupation entity or US hegemony.”

Hezbollah Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem delivered a speech in a ceremony marking birth anniversary of Lady Fatima Al-Zahraa (a.s.) which was broadcast live on Al-Manar TV. “Lady Fatima Al-Zahraa (a.s.) is a role model for women worldwide and an example of the authentic Muhammadan Islam,” Hezbollah’s Sheikh Qassem said at the start of his speech.

“We gather today to pledge allegiance to the resistance, to Hezbollah, to the legacy of Master of the Nation’s Martyrs Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah,” he added.

“I am proud of the resilient women in our society; you are the banners of honor, morality, resistance, and patriotism,” he also said.

Sheikh Qassem also addressed the women in Hezbollah, “Your role in the resistance is what contributed to achievements secured throughout the latest decades. Since the ceasefire agreement, we have entered a new phase that requires a different approach,” he added.

“The Lebanese State became responsible for consolidating Lebanon’s sovereignty and independence, the resistance did everything in its power to implement the ceasefire agreement and to assist the Lebanese state,” he continued.

UNIFIL chief said there is no evidence that Hezbollah is regrouping south of Litani River and that ‘Israel’ is clearly violating the ceasefire,” Qassem said.

“The ceasefire agreement is being fully implemented by the Lebanese side, unlike the Israeli enemy which hasn’t committed to the ceasefire,” he continued.

According to Al-Manar TV EN website, “Deterrence is the responsibility of the State and the army, the Resistance’s responsibility is to assist the Lebanese State.”

“The resistance is ready for full cooperation with the Lebanese Army, and supports extending state authority, and agrees to a defensive strategy that harnesses the strength of Lebanon and its resistance,” Sheikh Qassem added.

“The resistance is not prepared to accept any framework that leads to surrender to the Israeli occupation entity or US hegemony,” he underscored.

” Limiting armament under US-Israeli logic amounts to an execution of Lebanon’s strength,” he said, adding that “the state’s problem lies in imposed sanctions and rampant corruption.”

“All of this is the US’ scenario since 2019, as it has sought to sabotage Lebanon and sow chaos to prevent it from remaining capable of acting independently.”

“With surrender, Lebanon will not survive; Syria is before us—do not think Syria is recovering; all of this is an illusion,” the Hezbollah leader highlighted.

“After the assassination of Sayyed Nasrallah and other martyrs, the enemy sought to weaken our capabilities and eliminate Hezbollah, but we prevented that goal in the Mighty Warriors Battle,” Sheikh Naim further said.

“With unity and steadfastness, war may be avoided; the Israeli enemy’s allies in Lebanon urge it on against their country, and if war does occur, it will fail to achieve its goals,” he continued.

“The US must know we will defend ourselves under any circumstances; our weapons will not be seized to serve Israeli goals, even if the world wages war on Lebanon,” according to the Hezbollah leader.

“The resistance achieved four major accomplishments—liberating land, standing firm, deterring Israeli enemy, and halting the invasion of Lebanon in the Mighty Warriors Battle,” Qassem added.

“Beware, the project is extremely dangerous and could leave Lebanon without a future; they seek to weaken the resistance while keeping the army lightly armed so Lebanon remains without real strength,” he continued to stress.

“The Lebanese state must stop making concessions—didn’t it hear the US ambassador say negotiations are one thing and the aggression continues?”

“I call on the Lebanese state to step back and reassess—implement the agreement first, then discuss a defensive strategy; do not ask us to stop defending ourselves while the state cannot protect its citizens,” Qassem concluded.
