Hezbollah Hails Gov’t Stance on Arsal, Asserts Party’s Military Dissociation

Praising the “strict” stance which the Lebanese government has taken regarding the developments in the bordering town of Arsal, Hezbollah considered that this position asserts the national consensus in support of the army to fight terrorism.

In a statement, the party added that this consensus also backs the army in encountering the attempts to threaten the country’s civil peace and to violate the Lebanese sovereignty by foreign militants.

The resistance party also praised the local media outlets for backing the Lebanese army and for abstaining from circulating all what offends the military and serves the terrorists.

Hezbollah reiterated that the Lebanese army is exclusively authorized to encounter the terrorists and to protect the civilians in Arsal, emphasizing that the party has never intervened in what is taking place in the area.
