Car bomb hits Turkish police

Turkish police say that many people were injured after a car bomb hit a police station in the southeastern Turkish province of Mardin.
The attack, a day after 12 people were killed in an attack in Istanbul, targeted at the police station in the town of Midyat, north of the border with Syria in the southeast Kurdish majority. Many ambulances were seen rushing to the scene, reports said.
State-run Anatolia news agency has accused “terrorists” in a reference to the militants of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party.
