Behind the Scenes: More than 1500 Militants Killed in Syrian Army Ambush
High officials in Western military services were very confused after the recent accomplishments last week by the Syrian government military forces in many areas in Syria; the most important of which was in Dara’a where more than 1500 militants were killed after they were strategically trapped during their movement from Jordan to Syria.
Credible reports talked about heavy clashes taking place between the different factions of the so-called military opposition forces. A recent report, which reached to UN offices, unmasked information about a major clash in Aleppo which led to the killing of more than 150 militants.
Well informed Russian sources expressed dim hope that the coming Russian-American summit between Presidents Obama and Putin could bring any positive results vis a vis the ongoing crisis in Syria. The sources said US can do a lot to stop arms sending to the takfiri groups in Syria, but is not willing to do so, because the war of attrition, and exhausting and weakening of Syria would suit perfectly well the American plans in the region.
