According to the public relations office of the organizing committee, Syria, Russia, India, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Georgia, Palestine (Gaza) and Lebanon will be the host countries.
Resistance, insight and prosperity are the main focus of this year’s event whose aim is to introduce the resistance art and cinema of the Muslim world. A number of meetings and conferences are also programmed to be held on the sidelines of the event.
The 13th International Resistance Film Festival is scheduled to take place on Iran’s Sacred Defense Week from September 22 through 29, 2014. The festival marks Iran’s Sacred Defense during the 1980-1988 Iraqi-imposed war, when Iranian soldiers fought against the executed Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein’s forces and defended the Islamic Republic against enemy aggressions.
